it should have been 2 for that take down on the edge of the mat. but clearly Gordon wadsworth is the better wrestler.
if he was elevated up on his toes (shows control) I \\"might\\" have given him the two… but as what Martin had, at the time that the whistle blew, was not yet a TD…even in bounds, makes that a good call
At first I thought that it should have been 2, but if you watch it again you will see that his knee lands out of bounds before he extends the toes and lands the take down. The rule is that if 3 or mor supporting points are out then you are out. When his knee hits Wadsworth’s hands and left foot are out of bounds so when Martin’s knee hits they are out and he does not have control. He then gets control, but they were already out of bounds.
