I just finished watching the Metcalf vs. Caldwell match and have only one thought. Awesome! The wrestling was amazing. If you have not been able to see it you need to go here and watch. Talk about getting after it.
Caldwell established a tempo and dominance that the Iowa wrestler was not able to match even though he was undefeated in nearly 70 college wrestling matches. The wrestling moves that Caldwell put on Metcalf represented not only great wrestling but a total disregard for the fact that he was facing the wrestler with the best record in the country.
The talk of this year’s NCAA tournament was the ending shove put on Caldwell by Metcalf.
Neither wrestler was using moves learned in wrestling camps; Caldwell ended the match with a back flip and Metcalf matched his unprecedented wrestling move with a shove.

At any rate the match was entertaining to say the least.
